My Sony transom remote quit working yesterday. It worked fine last weekend. I fixed the first problem in my solution algorithm. It wasn't plugged in. When I put something in the locker I must have knocked off the plug. However since I reinstalled it I cant get it to work. The display works fine. If I touch the power off button I get a beep from the head unit but I get no other activity from the remote.

I have reset several times with no luck. I can't find any thing in the manual but I wonder if there is some sort of way to lock the remote out. That I inadvertently activated.

I did add the I pod interface but this was several months ago. Any body else with this problem?

Oh yeah I have the Sony CDX-HS70MW head unit.

Mine is not working either. I had unpugged it from the head unit because the head unit wasn't working and out of curiosity I plugged the remote back in to see if it would work no luck the display is fine but no buttons are not functioning.

Better late than never. :D I discovered in my case the problem was moisture. The plug had gotten wet and was not working after letting it dry for a couple of days the remote resumed functioning.
