I have a 2002 245 sundowner and upgraded my stereo. I did go with the new pdx line 5 channel alpine amp and am very very impressed with it. It also, like mention doesn;t eat alot of power. I have ran my stereo for 7 hours straight on a monderate volume and it did not run my battery down. Also on the subwoofer ,get a 10 or 12 inch bazooka sub. It will handle the power of the alpine amp and sounds awsome. I put my under the rear seat and it will rock the boat,just clear clean bass.Also just get a better deck one that you can use your ipod with, I think this also keeps the power usage down. I had about 900.00 in the whole system and it sounds great.
