I am thinking of adding the Transom Remote to my Freedom 180. The ideal spot would be near the ladder, however my gas fill is on that same side and above where I was considering adding it.

Does anyone know what direction the fuel filling pipe runs?

Any other suggestions or if you have pictures show where yours is located? At some point I intend to install a remote trim control too so I am trying to plan out the locations.

I attached a picture for reference.

Different model but mine is on the other side of the ladder. It's a little hard to reach from the water there. You have to go up one step to get to it, but it works.

Mine is on order. Going to install it under the fuel fill and across from the handle to come up the ladder. I checked it out and there is room and no fear of getting near the fuel fill tube when drilling the hole.

I am also going to mount the remote trim switch on the opposite side of the handle so it balances out.

Thanks for the pictures.

Txjole-time to upgrade to the iphone 3GS from that version 1.

Thats an old pic, but I still have the 2G i-phone. I got it when it was 499.00 so I have to get my moneys worth out of it.

Oh wow....long story (sort of). Take some time to visit http://www.lakepirateforums.com if you want...but basically, here is a quote from the forum

"What does 6% mean? It simply means that six percent of adults are considered to have "priority problems" because they buy boats, motorcycles, custom cars, airplanes, guitars, go on exotic vacations, love the babes and don't really care what other people think. Are you a six-percenter?"

I boat with several people from that forum locally. TxJole and leftlane from this forum are also on there.
