Im considering upgrading my current standard four speaker clarion system (2007 Horizon 200) to the 10" subwoofer and a couple of amps. If anybody has the upgrade from the factory can they let me know where the subwoofer is placed? Also if you know whether the speakers that come with the upgrade are the same as the standard package? All the wiring is already hanging from the back of base unit which leads me to believe that the speakers are the same. Any Help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated, Thanks

brad, you will need to add a amp and your sub and that should be it. Not sure if the stock deck has a amp out rca, if it does not just use a simple line converter. I had a sweet dual 8" box made for my car that is so small and you would swear it was 2 15's. Check out nolteaudio.com and see what he can do for you his work is second to none. If you got a single 8 you would be blown away :)

I have the factory system on my '05. The amp's on the bulkhead next to the other electronics.

I completely upgraded my stereo in my boat last spring. I put in a new clarion head unit. (bought it on ebay and save $50) For your coaxial speakers, I would get the Polk Audio's. They are awesome for the $$$ and rated for marine.

But you can get awesome deals on Ebay

What a great feeling. I sold it at a very fair price. I am sure if I would have held it longer I could have sold it for an additiona $500-$1000 but it wasn't worth it. No, I just need to wait till April
