Well...after watching these for a few days and the price not going back up. I broke down and bought two pair for the boat as well as a new head unit. My boat still has the stock stereo and speakers from 2000 :shock:

Man, I wish I could get these in Oz at anywhere near that price - I'd put them in my boat and car as well! I just checked - the best I could get them was $169 a pair here... :(

I splurged a little on the head unit since the speakers were so cheap...should be effective for our three little kids to watch Mickey Mouse once they are done swimming.

I think that will be one of the first flip up screens I have seen mounted in a cruiser!

I think Fire has a mini "flip down" TV in his 268. 8" screen maybe?

10". It works. I'd rather have a bigger 15-17" flat screen mounted on the side of the head, like my boat would have had if it was built a few months later. Its not worth the hassel to install that, and still have my flip down TV in the ceiling of the boat. We barely watch TV on the boat.

Thanks for the offer Cougar - will certainly bear this in mind. Freight to Oz would be about $120-150 I expect. I am just trying to find out who we have coming from our US offices to Oz in the next few weeks to see if I can load them up with a couple of pairs to carry in for me...! :lol: I have to ship to a US address as the Amazon deal prevents them from being sold outside the US.

Polk's master distributor in Oz does not even list them on their web site - but list plenty of alternatives. This seems odd.

Am in the UK this week and cannot find them here at all... seems like Polk don't export a lot of auto/marine audio stuff. House stuff is popular.

It's a shame they are so hard to get hold of as the specs and reviews all look extremely good. Maybe I should ask Polk for a distributorship myself and set up a home business!

HU and speakers arrived yesterday :lol:...now only have to stare at them for 5 - 6 months before I can install :cry:
