I just put a modified swine inverter in my motorhome. 400 watt and I run a 19 inch LCD, and DVD off of it. Runs like a champ and no major issues or noises. I paid $35 for it off of Amazon. I used 10 guage wire from home depot and a 30amp fuse. I see no reason for a marine inverter if you can put it somewhere inside.

thanks,

Just installed a 600/1200 inverter for the DVD player, it was real easy I will post some pictures. I installed it in the engine compartment between the fire extinguisher and trim tab pump.

I routed an A/C 110v out let and cord to the TV under the step/garbage can. I will mount an inverter in there as well. Wanting a 1000w, been looking at the 600w for price, only need 100 w for the TV.
I want all of it hard wired and hidden, but I have a 300w that plugs into a 12volt socket, but it is a cheap one and noisy, may as well run the generator and charge the battery's vs. drain them.

I had to custom make a TV mounting bracket, should have taken a photo or two when installing. I will try to get some next time I am in the boat. TV only sticks out from wall approx 1/2". Most mounting bracket were for home use and swiveled, tilted, ect... and that made them flimsy and hung of the wall more than I liked.

My TV is mounted where yours is. I have the DVD on the shelf in the v berth next to the head. Ran the HDMI cable behind the head up under the dash and have a hole for the HDMI and power. Ran an extension cord behind the head, behind the aft berth and into the engine compartment for DVD power. Except the DVD power cord and HDMI cable plugged into the DVD all other wires are out of site.
