I became pretty frustrated with the potential self install project I was faced with and am glad I decided not to proceed. Although it was a pretty straight forward amp / sub install I'm sure I would have found a way to either mess it up or something else. Thanks to "aguyindallas" for the referral to a local audio shop. After a few hours there and bringing in my boat and sub/amp combo I was quickly steered in the right direction. End result was a swap out of the 12 inch Alpine sub for 2 JL 10w3's (not an even swap obviously). They installed them in ported enclosures which fit perfectly in the bench storage lockers on both sides of the boat. These actually go back to the rear of the boat and there is plenty of room. In all, I don't think I've lost any usable room.

I've not heard them on the water yet but they sound very nice in my driveway !!!

The 1st 2 pics are of the starboard side. The cooler still fits perfectly.

This one is of the sub on the port side shot from within the seat locker.

Thanks again for the referral. How was the lake yesterday? I was very close to coming out but had a few "honey do's" on my list.

I will be out there on WED of this week however. If you can get away....come and join.

It was pretty decent....and actually...there is a small chance I would be out on Wednesday afternoon/evening. I am off...wife gets home around 5. How long will you be out?

I'll be out around lunch time and should be off of the water by 5pm.

Hey SkullPatrol,

Just curious... how'd they hook up the two subs? Did they run both off the same channel or are they running on a channel each?

I'm thinking about running 2 subs from one channel on my JL M600.6
Kinda like this
