I have a 2003 Freedom (Horizon) that I upgraded the stock head unit and two speakers with the following:

Head Unit: Sony CDX-M60UI
Speakers: Polk Audio DB 651

I bought 4 more Polk's to add two in the bow and two in the rear (existing are up under the helm and on passenger side of helm).

Any advice on what amp to go with and where to mount and wire it? I was thinking of the amp on the passenger side up under where the cooler is mounted.

Found this at Crutchfiled:

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158XM604M/ ... +amp&ssi=0

I am just trying to get some audio around the boat and not spend a fortune.

Thanks

I want to first tell you that BEFORE I had my work done, I had NEVER heard of this brand. I went in with full intentions of buying JL Audio Amps. The owner of the shop simply said to trust him and that if I was EVER unhappy, he would give me a full price credit toward anything else I wanted.

Take a look at treoonline.com

I have run mine for HOURS without draining a single battery. I have 8 Polk DB651 and 2 JL 10W3's in the boat and it pounds. Short of having a wake board tower to add more, I couldnt be more satisfied with my setup.

Where are all of your extra 4 Polk's and subs located? I was looking at adding a few more but don't really know where to start. I was looking at installing an infinite baffle 10" sub on each side of the bottom of the rear bench seat firing forward towards the captain's chairs.

I have SunSport seating and the sub boxes are on each side of the cooler in the bench. The additional Polks are located in the cubby on each side of the boat between the captains chair and the bench seat.

Let me dig up the thread with the pics in it.

viewtopic.php?f=19&t=3051&st=0&sk=t&sd=a which I would say...there are pics on all 3 pages of it.
