Some moron broke into my dock house, lowered the boat and made off with my boats 4 speakers sometime in the last two weeks. It's a 2008 H240. Any recommendations for replacements that won't break the bank?

Polk db651. Everyone on here raves about them. Will run you $50-65 a pair.

The Polks blow them away....for the price, they are very good speakers.

1. The stock Sony speakers suck. Consider this a blessing in disguise
2. I love the Polk db651

Keep in mind that the thief probably assumes you will replace the stolen speakers and likely upgrade. Although to go to all that trouble to steal stock sony speakers, clearly this was no criminal master-mind. I'd at least put some ADT decals (or equivalent) on the dock house door. One of those dummy video camera's with the battery powered led would be better.

I don't think we're dealing with rocket scientists here as you say, but funny you mention that, we talked about exactly that scenario. I think I'll take your advice and put up a dummy camera. I had a friend suggest an infrared hunter's camera that takes stills, but I suspect they'd only notice the flash and climb up to steal it (hey, Bubba I been wantin' one o' them), whereas a video camera they couldn't be too sure of approaching and might just go elsewhere. I'm learning today that we're the third ones in the cove to get hit. Our neighbors had a generator stolen from the unlocked utility room.

Its definitely taking place from the water...

That's the positive spin I'm looking for, thanks!

Cameras are cheap. In fact Costco has a 4 camera with DVR package for $199 that you can monitor from your phone. I know it's just speakers but you never know what these punks will start stealing next. Criminals always get greedy. Or they become even more a$&holes and start to vandalize.
