Our 2006 Vista 248 just came back from service and I noticed that the radio doesn't receive any channels anymore. When searching for channels, nothing is found. I assume the antenna has been unhooked somehow, but am unsure as to where the antenna is on my boat (if it has one at all). Maybe I'll understand when I know where the antenna is, but why would it be unhooked after a regular service visit?

Thanks,

Richard

Look at the back of the radio to make sure the antenna is plugged into it. It will look like coax cable, say for your TV.

My 2006 248 just had an orange wire about 16" long with a 3/8 ring terminal at the end plugged into the radio for an antenna. It was jammed right into the breaker panel with all the AC wiring. I could never figure out why it wouldnt receive any FM stations when hooked to shore power lol.

But yea, just pull out the radio and have a look..

Whatever came of this?

I would think that if the location of your VHF antenna isn't obvious, you don't have one.
