Our 2006 Vista 248 just came back from service and I noticed that the radio doesn't receive any channels anymore. When searching for channels, nothing is found. I assume the antenna has been unhooked somehow, but am unsure as to where the antenna is on my boat (if it has one at all). Maybe I'll understand when I know where the antenna is, but why would it be unhooked after a regular service visit? Thanks, Richard |

Look at the back of the radio to make sure the antenna is plugged into it. It will look like coax cable, say for your TV. |

My 2006 248 just had an orange wire about 16" long with a 3/8 ring terminal at the end plugged into the radio for an antenna. It was jammed right into the breaker panel with all the AC wiring. I could never figure out why it wouldnt receive any FM stations when hooked to shore power lol. But yea, just pull out the radio and have a look.. |

Whatever came of this? I would think that if the location of your VHF antenna isn't obvious, you don't have one. |
