I get my feet wet! The easy way to do it if you have rollers is to back the trailer into the water untill the back rollers are just above the water. Just enough so that you can see them, this doesn't put the trailer in very far. When you drive the boat on the trailer you will be perfectly centered. Now, the easy way is to put your trim up and drive the boat right up. Fast and easy. Unfortunatly, the prop wash really can screw up a landing, especially if it is cement. It actuallys forces the base (sand, gravel, rocks, etc) from under the cement and creates empty pockets that will cave in. So, I get my feet wwet and just crank.

Simon I back the trailer till the water is level with the top of the mud guards then just reverse off, Retreiving back the trailer in until the top of the mudguards are about an inch out of the water, drive on and winch the last 30 or 40 cm or so. This is with a Four Winns trailer
hope this helps
