With the inside info you get... Do you have any idea who the new Four Winns dealer is in the Cincinnati area? I went to my dealer, Lodders Marine, for some parts. I noticed they are now the area dealer for Monterey. Didn't have time to talk a salesman but the parts guy told me they dropped Four Winns for Monterey. The Four Winns website still lists Lodders as the dealer fore the area.

Tennja, that is info I would have a hard time getting. Wish I could say for sure, but I think there won't be a Four Winns dealer in Cincinnati for awhile. You may have to go North to Port Clinton ? Or south into Kentucky. But I'm sure Lodder's will still service Four Winns boat if you bought one from them.

Check out this 2010 thread. Ended in happiness about Arnold's in Louisville. If you check their website today, there is no mention of Arny being a Four Winns dealer now.

We touched on this topic of timleness of Four Winns updating their dealer's recently, and they do not put a priority on keeping their dealer network info up to date. Not sure why either, on the Monty website, they post new dealers before the public even knows about it. And when they lose a dealer, they are gone from the listing in short order. Monterey added a dealer in Northern Michigan a few months ago, and one in Detroit area,so now there are 4 dealers for Monty's in Michigan.
Monty also added Sizzle Marine in Columbus , Oh. this summer. I guess maybe Four Winns could be a bit more agressive in expanding their dealer network. They lost alot of dealers during the bankruptcy, and they don't seem to be adding new dealers as aggressivly as Monterey, Sea Ray, Rinker and Crownline have been.

Added: My Monty dealer was awarded the CSI award for customer service and are in the top 10 dealers for 2012. They sold all the Monterey's that they had in stock this year, including one to me. :D

Tennja, I ordered some parts from Skipper Buds in Port Clinton this summer. They must have a new parts person because the service was much improved from my pervious experience with them. Since they are about an hour away from me I wanted them to drop ship the parts to me from FW. They would not do that but they did ship them to me from Skipper Buds without and additional charge.

There is also a dealer in the Columbus area but it is on the north end in Delaware.

I just bought a bunch of parts for my Four Winns Funship from:

Lewis Boats Inc & Lewis Engines
4030 N Service Road
St. Peters, MO 63376
(636) 949-9926

I am in Southern California........there is currently no Four Winns dealer in this area........Mona from Lewis Boats was incredibly helpful.......She did everything she said she would do and went above and beyond..Very professional and accommodating.........I would deal with them again in a heartbeat..........She had Four Winns drop ship directly to me.......

Thanks Capn,

Just curious more than anything. I am not worried about parts too much. I'll find away to get them if I need them. I suspect the "new" Four Winns may not be as dealer friendly.

You might be correct about FW dealer friendliness. Time will tell.
Anyway, here is what Lodder's posted on their website. Some PR stuff, but the Marshall brother's are aggresively adding dealers to
the Monterey network for sure.

Quote:
Monterey has just announced that Lodder’s Marine is their newest dealer! Monterey is located in Williston FL and was founded in 1985 by the Marshall Brothers. To this day, Monterey is still owned and operated by the Marshall family. Monterey builds over 2000 boats a year ranging in sizes from 18-40ft. They are known for their contemporary styling and superior quality. “We are extremely excited to represent Monterey in the Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky Markets. Charles and Jeff Marshall are passionate about this business and it shows in their products. I can’t wait until we reintroduce Monterey to the Cincinnati market because people are going to see what drew us to Monterey. They exceeded our expectations when it comes to fit and finish as well as design,” says Matt Lodder of Lodder’s Marine. Monterey Co-Chairman Charles Marshall states, “ Having a new dealer of the caliber of Lodder’s Marine reinforces the message to boaters in the Cincinnati area that Monterey and its dealer/partners represent the very best in the marine industry today.” The new boats will begin arriving this September
