I run my tank down to 1/4 then just before winterize I add stabilizer, fill the tank then do my winterize, fog down and antifreeze the drive, exhaust and fresh water system.
I also remove the 3 batteries and store them on my automattic 4 bank charging system in ty basement along with my motorcycle battery

...I knew the ethanol debate would create the controversy but it was a question I had been pondering so I thought I would throw it out there. I think I'll play it on the side of caution and spend the extra bucks, fill up at the marina and forget about it by Monday. I'll be happy I did when I fire it up in the spring. I'm not all that concerned about running the blended fuel over the summer but the long term storage properties of the blended fuel are my concern. That being said I've never had a problem with this boat.

I was going to suggest that if you want to save money and buy Ethanol, wait until spring and buy it then. If you are going to fill up now, then use marina gas. I have been through the expense of having a tank pumped out...both labor and wasted gas.

+1 On the total PITA!!! pumping the fuel out, screw ethanol! Well that and not knowing you aren't supposed to run the engine with an empty tank until it runs out of gas. WOW! what a painful learning experience!
