So I went to a ribbon cutting for the second location of my areas authorized Four Winns Dealer. BIg shindig, great people, dj, events for the kids, food, drinks, etc....one big thing missing...

Four Winns???

WTH? I was hoping for at least 1, but all Axis, Mastercraft, and Cobalt...and about 98% wakeboard boats...so ok maybe Four Winns doesn't make the best wakeboard boat (I have no idea, I don't wakeboard) but why then is this the authorized dealer?

Just sayin...

I don't know, the closest dealer to me is in another state. Four Winns doesn't seem to be too interested in their dealers....they seem to be losing them left and right. i love my boat but I feel like an orphan :(

I think it's very strange considering the amount of Four Winns boats I see on Lake Mead. They should be pushing boats here. There is a wide open market if you ask me since every dealer in town either sells luxury wakeboard boats, or expensive power boats.

+1 I don't understand their complete lack of dealer support and how their dealer network is managed. When I requested info for the V275 on the factory website all I got was an email a week later asking me if I had been contacted by my local Four Winns dealer. That dealer is lucky if they order 1 180 Horizon a year, and has never carried a cruiser. I think they mostly just sell lawn mowers there  They could of at least mailed me a brochure

I had a similar experience, right after we purchased our 96 238 Vista Four Winns revamped their website and removed the older models, manuals and info. I filled out the web form reporting a problem with the site and made it very detailed about what I was looking for (1996 Vista info) I got an e-mail a week later asking if I had been contacted by me dealer. I replied back with "no, why would I?" And again explained my problem. the next day the dealer called me and told me they had nothing to do with the website.....duh? When I asked about what they could do for my boat, they told me 1996 was too old for them to really get any parts. I got the info I needed from some members here and have just ignored it since.

I feel your pain Lads. in Oztralia you have more chance of winning Lotto than being called back by a FW dealer. Rare as rocking horse shit!! Great boats but crappy service....

Dealers stock what sell in there area.... If luxury wake board boat are selling, thats what there going to stock.

All of us here on this board, for the most part, like Four Winns boats. But us liking them does not open new dealerships or make authorized dealers stock boats that dont sell...... Many things to consider when buying a new boat, price, quailty, options, style, service.... How does Four Winns stack up to the rest of the market?

I have not shopped for a boat for a few years, so my oppinon is off, but I do believe FW is siding..... I would look at others brands and compare, 1st thing, new FW style has turned me off.

FWIW I just contacted Four Winns about specs for my 2005 H180. They e mailed me back with the info I requested, and I had also asked why this was no longer available.
"We are working to re-establish past product information on our new website. This will occur in the very near future."
That would be nice

The local FW dealer here has been switching to Chaparral the last few years, they used to have quite a few new FW boats in the showroom and last year they had one 200. They also sell wakeboard boats and thats what they stock the most of (I know nothing about them except they are expensive), like anyone else they are stocking what sells.

Havent seen a new cruiser at any of the local dealers in the last few years except the Sea Ray dealer.

I gotta say I am lucky I guess, we have a pretty good FW dealer hear only 7 miles from my house, their inventory on parts is fair to good and they always seem to have a few cruisers in the showroom. last I was in there a few months ago they even had the new sundowner. they also carry Yamaha sport boats as well but they seem to dissapear quickly. but the FW inventory is satisfactory and they have a good selection of sizes and models

There are two Four Winns dealers in the Kansas City area, and they are always sold out or have very little inventory. I talked to both dealers before I bought my H260 and they said they simply don't have the inventory when the boat shows come around. I feel lucky that I ran into the exact boat I wanted at a boat show....I think it was fate or some BS like that. I'm guessing Four Winns is having one of those "good problems to have" in business. Just my 2 cents....what do I really know. :D
