Anybody going to the Kansas City Boat Show or the Overland Park Boat Show in January? The Kansas City Boat Show usually has every thing from flying toilets to boats, while the OP Boat Show is mostly the whos who in the boating business (in this area).

I'll probably go to both, My FW dealer pretty much gave us tickets for the foreseeable future to one or the other. But then again, I bought a Yamaha Wave runner and an H260 in the same year  . I just hope they pick me up in a limo while they're at it. Ha ha...Wishful thinking....

yeah I'll probably be at both. Haven't seen the date for the OP show yet. Not been impressed lately with the Bartle show with all the RVs and fishing trips, unless you go to the VIP night.

Agreed. OP show is always better. That is where I bought my boat. I've skipped the Bartle version for several years in a row now.

Really want to make the OP show this year - I've never been to it. The last two times I went to Bartle, they weren't worth the cost of gas to get there.

I've not been to the OP show yet which is why I'm looking forward to it this year. In my opinion, Any boat show is better than nothing. When I lived in Louisville, KY, I went to their show for 3 years straight. It was a pretty nice show, with a good representation of all the boat manufacturers.

Bartle is Jan 10th through the 13th (according to their website)
OP is Jan 24th through the 27th (according to marinesource.com)

Maybe I'll run into you guys at one of the FW booths.

About 3 years ago I would agree with you, but they really have been working to improve the last year or two, though still not up to the level of the OP show. I am hopeful. Besides it's a tradition for my dad and I dating back to my childhood, when the show was at the downtown airport.

Thanks for the info... Last year was about the first time I actually saw an FW booth since I bought mine, thanks to Surdyke who not only gave me VIP passes to the Bartle show, but free tickets to the OP show. We definately enjoyed both!

230Mike, Pet575 and I keep missing each other. Busacharger and Doc99 I knew before they joined the forum.

Good to hear they're trying. Last time I went to Bartle, they had a few aluminum bass boats, a couple of loser cruisers, and rows of Chinese scissors and miracle cleaners.

I too miss the level of shows we used to have here back into the late '60's.
