This morning I woke to not only running late for work but to the dreaded 4 letter word we as Captains absolutely dispies. That's right it falls from the shy and get all over everything, and dashes your hopes until maybe late March here in the Buckeye state. I can't even type the word for it, it pains me so much. You all know what I'm talking about I don't need to say it.

Sounds to me like the very same stuff that requires 6" of sand and gravel on the roads here in Colorado for every 1" that falls from the sky. I dread it not only because it officially marks the end of the boating season, but because it makes people (even seasoned veterans) drive like fools and like I stated earlier, causes all kinds of messy road conditions because the DOT puts gravel on the road surfaces at the slightest prediction of that white frozen moisture. Until next spring...

Hate it too....but use studded snows on my 4x4s and always get through. Lots of hills here and we get coastal storms that sometimes bring in freezing rain and ice. Lovely...

Here in Canada our northern most native people have 11 different words for it.

We have 2 words for it.

White Shit!
