Walking down Fort Myers beach yesterday looking at boats thinking of mine back home in the polar vortex. Saw a plume of black smoke rising above the horizon off Sanibel. Turns out this guy paid $1MM for this and is a fire investigator.

Everyone was rescued.

On a related note I saw several Vistas on the water anchored stern in off shore. Bliss36 it looked a lot like Boaters Beach. It was 82 here yesterday and I'm toasted even trying to stay out of the sun.

Gorgeous water down there...its where my boat is from. It has spent many a day backed into a beach down there. Wish my pockets were deep enough I could have left here down there to use!

I was thinking of you Joe. We saw an older 268 on a trailer and a 318 on the water. I could definitely see boating here but there would be no work. I also would be burning some serious fuel that's for sure!

Did you go to Grandma Dot's on Sanibel Island? That's where I sealed my deal. My boat spent its time in the water tied up just down the street, on mooring whips in front of his waterfront home. I'm in the wrong business...

Just a few more weeks until we have this view from our room at Ft. Myers Beach. Sure will be nicer than this cold weather we have here.
Looking forward to a much needed break from this Polar Vortex crap.

Cap'n you have to be next to where we were. Our friends are in Edison house and have a very similar picture from their room. We're down once a year to visit the in-laws in N fort Myers. Traffic is still as bad getting across the bridge as I remembered.

Yep. We walk everywhere when we visit. Go over the bridge several times to one of our favorite places
to eat. The sidewalks on the bridge are rarely busy at 1:00 a.m.

Why are we doing this to ourselves  We spent almost a whole day walking the docks last weekend in San Diego and now that's all we can think about. I was doing fine keeping my mind off boating since we've been focused on the house but now Dana is texting me house listings and boating pics from the beach last summer..great now I have spring fever. If this weather doesn't change soon I'm going to lose my grip on what little sanity I have left :(

Love the Turtle. Definitely a favorite place to eat!? Love the view from there eating lunch and a great place to look at boats.

That would be a horrible day.

We are heading to Bonita Springs in a few weeks - just south of Ft Meyers Beach

Flyer51, we go to The Nauti Turtle once or twice for lunch, and once for dinner and to listen to whatever band they happen to have playing. A good place to watch boats go by, as well as watch the dolphins. Their house craft beer (Nauti Red) there is excellent with a plate of Grouper bites.

We have had dinner at the Nauti Turtle the last 3 years. Very nice spot.
