How much would one expect to detail the outside of a 21ft boat? I just don't have the time to do it myself otherwise I would. My marina quoted me $400, that seems about $150 too high. I always thought the average was around $12/ft, not $19/ft

You must be rich if you are willing to pay $400 to detail a small cuddy

Oh trust me I know $400 is insanity. I was figuring around $200-250

depends on how bad the hull is and how detailed you want the boat..

If it was me doing a 21 cudy. that is not a 3 step restore. Just a quick buff and wax, clean the stainless and outside only. Id charge 250-275.

now a Full in and out 3-5 step restore and wax and polish for a 21 would be 8-900. I usually do 3-4 18-30' boats a month locally in the evenings.

$400 seems like the marina is pocketing 275, 25 materials, and 100 to the employee.

your hull should not take more than 2-3 hours to bang out if its just a wax n buff

I was quoted $700 to buff and wax from the rub rail to the water line. Nuts!

That's high. In my area, I was quoted 500 for waxing & buff the entire hull and full inside cleaning. I trailer and garage my boat though.

Yeah I'm searching for someone else. $19/ft just outside is insanity.
