From West Palm Beach, FL:
We did pretty good here compared to how it could have been. It was a very powerful storm considering the eye was about 100 miles away. Had Tropical Force to Hurricane Force 1 winds for about 18 hours. About 7" of rain here (which is not a major problem). My only damage was some tree branches and a wooden fence was knocked down.
About 80% of households lost power, and that is down to about 50% now. They say it should be very low percentage within the next 5 days. Shortages of fuel and food are still happening.
"Not Easy" was my generator... running on the cuffs for about 45 min x twice per day was enough to charge the batteries and use the 1500watt inverter to keep my refrigerator running (about 1/2 hour every 6 hours was enough to keep the food frozen). I had a second inverter and marine battery inside the house (800watt) that I could run the TV and a fan. I recharged that battery from the car.
My house got power back last night.
