Fireworks are off the damn, I park at my usual spot on the east side away from the camp ground and then cruise to the dam.

Were planning on going out tommorrow night to lake Shawnee which is where the GO FOURTH fireworks are done and watch them, then on Saturday were going to get the boy up from nap time about 3 and head out there by 4. Dinner at Boondocks resturaunt at the Marina at 6, pick up 6 people and head out for play time and fireworks in the evening.

If your not appropriately equipped. (the aforementioned wax and retro fitted) we have plenty of room on ours if you want to come on out.

Hmm. Well, I'll have to see how things go. I appreciate the invite though! Which marina is the restaurant in? We haven't used the marinas there for anything except the pump-outs.

Well you have two to choose from, as Marina's go. On the side closest to you by the dam there is the Lake Perry yacht & Marina, Inc. It's a decent place, well protected. Gas pumps are located way away from the station house. I don't use it very much.

For my money the Rock Creek Marina which is located just on the other side of the bridge is tops. Great store, coutesy slips, picnic tables outside and the Boondocks rest. is right there so you can eat and keep and eye on the boat. I put in at the public ramp just across the water from the marina. Small dock but half the traffic and better parking.

Marc, Lake Perry Yacht Club & Marina is where we've always gone. They've got the nicest pump-outs of any we've ever used on any lake - and they're free.

However, we'll check out Rock Creek next time. It'd be nice to have a decent restaurant over there. Thanks.
