I don't think that Lake Michigan even gets to 61 degrees. At least not till August.

On Father's day 2 years ago, The Big Lake was 72 degrees. We were swimming in about 200 feet of water of the boat that day. Rare, but it happens. I think it hit 70 degress in early July last year.

Ok, so what if they are forecasting snow for Monday. The boat is loaded up, flushed all the water systems, ran the engine. We are leaving for the Marina in just a few minutes for the spring launch. High of 60 today, light wind. Perfect day.

Have a great day on the water!

Admiral and I were on the water for a couple hours Friday night... stayed on the boat overnight, and we're back out today. 34 degrees and dry this morning. Should get to the mid 50's! Lower 60's tomorrow!

Boat's ready except for painting the smile. That happens next weekend. Marina will be open and powered up on tea party, er, I mean tax day. I plan on being in as soon after that as possible, given the weather. I've seen some pretty nasty April blizzards here in years gone by. I think it was '82 or so we had a blizzard with about a foot of snow every Saturday in April. YUCK! I never want to see that again. Bring on the global warming!

First launch this year was 2 weeks ago but had engine failure. Iv'e spent the last 2 weeks waiting for new injectors to arrive. I managed to fit them yesterday and took the boat out into the bay this morning for a one hour spin, it was a bit colder than I like but at least we are ready for Easter.

Hey Beyond The Blue,

Where in the world are you? Hard to tell from the terrain in the background but no location in your sidebar.

In the UK, Wales to be exact. The area we boat in is called Cardigan Bay, it has a coastline of around 80 miles or so, a beautiful part of the world. Our marina is in a large town called Aberystwyth, but I actually live in Manchester, England a 3 hour drive away. I will try and alter my side bar.

So you a RED as well eh! There's lots of us about. I've been a season ticket holder for years, been going to Old Trafford for 43 years. All our boating is geared around matches.

Moylesey is a Leeds fan, C D supports Everton.

My nephews follow the Premiere league and so forth way more than I, but I hear Dom & Carrie giving the scores & such. I'm usually listening to Radio 1 in the morning via Sirius so it's a 5 hour delay. They play it so it syncs up with our eastern time zone. Isnt the pitch where Leeds plays named for Moyles?

Everything went A OK! Didn't have any issues. Got into our new slip just fine. We didn't take the boat "out" as my wife can be a real wiener when it's chilly. But it unloaded from the trailer just fine, and we got set up in the slip. Had to run to West Marine to buy some pole pads because the slip only had hard plastic covers that I wasn't comfortable with. So I bought some post covers to cushion any blows. Also, I had to weather strip the dock box becuase it leaked like a sive.

Does anyone know what a slingbox is? Basically its an internet tool that you hook up at your home cable and internet that enables you to watch your cable (or satellite) from anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection. Our marina has free wireless internet so we can watch our home cable from my wifes laptop. Pretty sweet.

I left the heat running in the boat on very low to prevent any chance of freezing. Hopefull it worked.

Glad all went well. Slingbox rules!! We a supposed to get wireless at our marina...... someday.
When we do, I will have a slingbox. This weekend looks much warmer, so hopefully you can get out and take a shakedown cruise.
