The wife's body is still in pretty good shape so I think I would send her hookin before I'd give up my boat. 8)

Have to agree with 298Vista2000 and Millhaven. If there was even a hint of me losing my job my boat would be gone right away. Boat is paid for but would like the additional cash in the bank. Could currently survive for about 24 months with what we have set aside at the moment...but you can never have enough.

Glad you found some work. I am unemployed as of the 15th. When I went into teaching I thought it would be a stable job. This economy sucks.

Time to start cutting back on expenses.

Good to hear that....I hate being in debt....bought a smaller house so we could pay it off in 15 years...done....over the last 20 years...I've had just 2 vehicles....an 89 Toyota I drove 9 years and a 98 Jeep I am still driving at 11 years....the boat we bought when it was old and paid cash...I did a lot of work to it but still the total investment is probably about 8 grand...I'll keep running that till I get sick of fixing it....hate debt more than fixing my stuff....
