Yeah... I don't think I could resist it. The problem might be that I won't be able to identify it now. :? My friend's parents retired and live at the lake now, but on a different part of it. It would be nice to meet up with them.

So Mike you must be getting excited now , how many sleeps to go? As for launching and retrieving by your self , I don't think it will be a big issue just be well prepared. I do it a lot of the time with no dramas , have fun!!

Mike I must recomend Table Rock or Beaver over LoO. The water and beauty of the lakes and surrounding areas are second to none!! We stayed at Still Waters last fall and it is very nice. Very family friendly also and nice new marina and slips. LoO is closer though and if that's what you decide on you'll still have a great time as long as you stay far from the busy areas of the lake. LoO is the Most Dangerous lake to boat on in the U.S. for a reason.

Yea Mike unfortunately LOTO has become a mess, but it is close and it seems like if you own a boat in KC you ought to make at least one trip there :) . I'll always prefer TR over anything else for its combination of great water, big size, and lots of things to do off the water. But, there are also more logistics involved there (at least for us). I've never been to Beaver but that's another one I'd really like to hit.
