So - the all white/black stripe 2008 v338 finally found a home here in Seattle. I called the brokerage as I noticed it left the website... it's staying local - which means I have a 'big brother' on the lake now! :D

140kish.... no word on trade in or anything twin 5.7 OSxi's, radar, generator, etc... no flexteak, no underwater lights...

I think that's a bargain, but probably about average for the market these days...

Great to see there are no leftover big Vista's to drag my resale value down... Now - if those dang Sea Ray's would just clear out...

(not that I am selling or thinking of a 408 or anything  )

Glad to hear it sold. I wonder if the other ones in FL have sold...

I read today that there has been a recent uptick in RV sales, a statistic that some view as an indicator of overall consumer confidence. I wonder if we are seeing the beginning of a similar sales bump for boats.

It's slowly improving, but RV sales did increase in the end of the 3rd quarter last year, and boat sales went in the tank immediately after that last year. Some stats from the industry for August 2009.

Quote:
All segments posted much slower sales declines for August. Preliminary registration data for the month showed that sales for all fiberglass boats, including PWC, declined by 18.9 percent. This report is based on 25 states, or 59 percent of the U.S. market. Rates of decline dropped for the second consecutive month in higher-volume states, signaling a bottom to our bear market. Hopefully, dealers can hold enough inventories to continue these positive trends through the fourth quarter.

Or, an indicator that more retired people are spending their money before it gets taken from them.
