Took the boat to storage unit today and its sad! My previous two boats I was able to keep in the garage and at least look at them all winter and play around with stuff in the off season which was nice. Oh well guess thats what I get for getting a bigger boat. Maybe I just need a bigger garage!!

Well we had the pool closed today...not too cold because we have a heater but cleaning it every day between the leaves and acorns was getting old...boat's still in the water and probably will be for 3 more weeks or so then I pull it out clean it out and winterize it.....want to get out a few more times before the end...

Alas I'd hoped to get out this weekend, but the weather had other ideas.

Going camping next weekend, but apprehensive about boating on the Willamette river since I don't know that portion of the river.

What is sad is the fact that I live in the South and I haven't been to my boat in over a month. Sick kids, two funerals (not the kid's) and fall break (my kids have been in school since August 1st) have taken up my last 5 weekends. Good thing I have a bilge heater and boat most the year around here or I would be more depressed than you.

For weather, or other reasons...I havent been out since Labor Day weekend. Very very sad...but I actually think I may be done for the year. I NEVER give up this early, but its been way cooler here, earlier this year. I dont mind it and would still get out a few more times. The problem is the kids wont get in the water and therefore they go stir crazy sitting in the boat. Me...I can drink beer and listen to music all day....the kids dont roll like that.

I hear you. I could still be out, but wife and kids don't like just sitting in the boat. I could do the beer and music all day myself.

Look out. Big brother may be watching (I mean reading). However, it is hunting season and the DNR are in the woods as opposed to on the lakes so one does have less of a chance of getting a BWI if they have one too many. Thankfully, I don't drink.
