Anyone been to Lake Mohave lately? I'm heading out there in a couple of days and am wondering about water level, temp, etc.

I'll be on my bud's Horizon 190 in case anyone will be there.

Cheers!

Erik

Just in my dreams. We kept our boat at Mead for a year and really miss it.
Really Really miss it. :( :(

We'll be in Havasu on the 16th through 19th. Never been this time of year. Hopefully not too windy.

This time of year, if it's like Mead, which it should be, get started early, very early.

Yeah, this is later than I'd like to be going. Mid Sept is really ideal up there, but we have previously had "issues" with wind and storms this time of year....

The volvo got pushed down the ramp by the mud/water - fortunately it's not ours. What looks like a field of mud right in front of us is actually the lake. They closed the ramp because there were missing dumpsters and they thought they might be submerged hazards.

Well, hopefully you wont hear about us on the news.

Erik

Turns out the weather was ideal the days we were there! Started to cloud up and get windy on the Monday that we were leaving, but the rest of the time was fantastic....

Are my eyes bugging or are you tied to shore via a log chain?

Long chain? Yup, that's my bud's boat and he has about 25' of chain, then another 150' of line from there. Pretty much same as my setup. It's because we take our boats in the ocean and need to make sure the boats are still there when we come back up from diving....
I typically use a dogscrew into the sand with 10-15' of line hooked onto my bow eye with and anchor-buddy on the stern hook to pull the boat back out when I'm at the lake, but I didn't have my boat up there this trip.
