Just called Arkansas Boating Center in Heber Springs Arkansas to let them know i was dropping my boat off for winterization and they said they are closed. i guess they have a few boats in for service and they are closing the doors. Sad, they are in a great location with good people.

I just drove past Boatland in Escondido, CA and they seem to have gone belly-up also. Just called them and their message states that they have closed down due to the severe economic recession.

That's a real drag - I liked their service guy.

Gainesville Marina on Lake Lanier near Atlanta gave up on Four Winns (and Carver) too. Not a good sign given Lanier gets over 7.5 million visitors per year. I see they are focusing on selling Bennington pontoon boats now. Pretty sad for a lake that hosted the 1996 Olympics and was once ranked the #1 recreation lake in the Southeast.

I bought my boat from Gainesville Marina in March and got a bit of a different story. They said FW was cutting them off and going to a larger regional outlet. Singleton Marine has a bunch of shops around the southeast including Boats with Gusto at Lake Oconee. It's too bad for Gainesville Marina because they told me they enjoyed selling and servicing FW boats. Their prep of my boat was top notch, I had a problem free 1st year. We went in to look at boats during the "Blizzard of '09" and they still offered to take us out in an '08 H210. Like I said, tough break for Gainesville, but now I don't have to tow through downtown ATL to get to a FW dealer.
