This time it'll be a little cheaper :) I've always had sit down skis but I've always wanted to try a stand up set up for freestyle. I'm hoping to get a little time in the surf while I'm down there. I've had enough of the white stuff. Anyone ride a standup?

Stand ups are awesome - they just take alot of energy! Nice find!

OH YA!!!!

Got a 750 kaw.

For me, this is "the" toy for the water. Anyone can ride a sit down, but only a few can handle a true ski. Ok, Ok, I do have 2 sit down as well, we use the 3 man for a tow boat for water sports, can ski all day on 8 gallons of fuel. But for me the sit downs are about a much fun as driving the boat, "boring"

BTW,

if anyone seeks a SMOKING deal on a 2005+ Sea Doo XP, RXP, whatever model is a giant 3 seater that hauls ass - let me know.

I am interested in picking one up and always looking for a reason to take a long weekend for a drive east.

And really... for me to travel, it needs to be a sweet pwc, at a fire sale price.

I want something that I can play around with or maybe tow behind the 318 on an occassional weekend.

Yep, I play with a mod'ed 650 Kaw and a sit down craft. The stand up is FUN (in small doses). I enjoy the heck out of mine, but in 30-45 min. intervals (getting old I guess.....My body dosen't take the abuse like it use to).

What I found when we bought the '08 STX, it only cost me a tad more to buy a new one vs, what everyone wanted out of the used ones. Also I really wanted a 4 stroke, very quite, very fuel economic and loads of power.
1500cc 4 stroke 4 cyl, brand new for $7k ish vs $6500-6800 for a 5 year old 2 stroke. Ya, I did go look at what Yamaha and Sea Doo had to offer as well, but we all go back to that brand we feel comfortable with.

   I hear you. When we goto powell and beach camp 20 miles from any marina, have to ride the stand up entire way, no matter what the chop is like. Workout!! Have found that current boat does not get on plane fast enough to tow stand up (just dives to the bottom), where as our last boat would do it with ease.

Really just need a larger cruiser/larger swim deck, to haul stand up on!!! Someday.....

Also my '94 750 is getting tired, I would love a newer 800cc stand up! Is on the wish list.

these things rip! got it out on a nice little fresh h2o
lake yesterday. man it was nice to get back out on the water! I gulped some water in the first 15 minutes. I
was paranoid about meeting a gator even though there probably werent any around. first mods will be footholds and hydroturf and twin bilge pumps. funny, the guy I
bought it from used to detail tiger's yacht before the "lock down"
