Before I owned a boat I was a very unselfish, dedicated husband, loving father and successful career driven individual. (well mostly)

Now, my life is something like this.........
1. Worry all winter---Did I properly winterize my boat?, what did I forget to do? Is everything going to be alright the first time out?? Oh my gosh, I should have done that.

2. Start planning the first boat outing for April/May in January. Constantly wondering when the weather is going to be warm enough to summerize.
(Sheww--Everything seems to have survived the winter, now what accessories should I get.)

3. First thing every morning and night check ifourwinns to make sure I haven't missed out on anything. After reading the latest posts start worrying if that is going to happen to me- What should I do to prevent that?, should I buy the polk speakers? What about leds? I think my trailer tires suck, I wish my boat looked like that, I want a crusier now. I need a stainless steel prop.

4. Go to work, check craigslist for the latest boat related posts, check ebay for fourwinns stuff, check ifourwinns, repeat thoughts listed above.

5. Starting looking at the weekend forecast every hour.

6. What lake should we go to?

7. Get home from work, starting prepping for the weekend trip to the lake, clean the boat, (repeat daily until Saturday morning)

8. Go to the LAKE! Have a BLAST and wonder why I didn't own a boat before now. Return home and wonder how I can fix a few scratches form the dock, then do it all over again.

I hope every is having a safe fun summer!

For weather forecasts I've found the Weather Underground website to be the most useful: http://www.wunderground.com

While on the boat I use the Sirius satellite weather service on the raymarine chartplotter. Much more accurate and up to date than the websites.

Wow. That sounds just like what I do.

The problem I have in addition to you, is the project boat that has been sitting in my barn for 1.5 years....I have planned and thought about that thing for a long time. I keep saying as soon as I have more time, I'll get it done. Instead, I just bought a new boat....now all my time is spent with the new boat.

Sound just like me as well! My wife is always asking, "why is it that we don't have enough money for things around the house, but if the boat needs anything it gets it immediately"

Sounds pretty typical for me, weekends center around the marina, and there is always a reason "to check the boat" during the week, stop by Loui's for a beer while I'm there. Matter of fact, we got quite a bit of rain and wind today, maybe i'll swing down there this afternoon to check the lines!!!
