Howdy, guys.

Been real busy with all that live brings ya. We just got out on the water, this Independance Day weekend, for the first time this season.

You may recall that we had a fire in the 'Burby tow vehicle. It took the insurance company 7 weeks to finally total it, after attempting to have it repiared (would require 100% interior removal, as all of the interior harnesses were burned where they go into a junction/relay box). Once we had a check, we had to find a replacement. Fonud a nice lower mileage red 2500 with the 8.1, down in KY. Flew down and drove it back.

Here it is .... (no, the boat didn't change. Just some creative license on the photo).

Here's the "old" one just prior to the insurance company picking it up from the dealer:

Welcome back Gordy ! Glad you got things sorted out and are back on the water. Some changes for me as well, as
you can see in my signature. Hope you have a great remainder of the season.

I saw that you had made a change (after talking about it for some time  ), in one of the other threads.

Did you post any pics?

Welcome back, Gordon. I didn't know about the fire, and had been wondering where you were.

The fire started at a relay box that is just up above the driver's left foot, on the firewall (under the dash). The box started burning and then the dripping, burning plastic started the carpet on fire, as the flames were starting to reach up under the dash.

I had stopped to go into the store and came out (maybe 5 to 10 minutes later) to the truck and noticed that it looked like i could not see through the windows (hmmm .... that's odd ....). opened the door to smoke and the flames on the floor. I stomped and used a duffle bag to put it out.

Other than that ... just been keeping busy with a very heavy work schedule (we have been having our best March-June ... ever) and still remodeling the house ..... and everything else. Just like y'all!

Shoot ... I have to replace the differential, rebuild the steering rack, replace the steering pump, replace the pads & rotors (with some prototype units, for R&D), bleed the brakes and finish the alignment, on the M3, for a track day on the 29th ...

Oh ... and ... taking the boat out for the first time this season, noticed that the trailer brakes did not seem to be working .....

Welcome Back Gordon!! Been wondering where you went. I met some people that boat on Great East Lake and I thought of you. I almost started a "Where's M3eater" thread. :P

Glad you got things sorted out. :D

Do you still have access to your old BURB? Believe it or not I bet there a couple of parts in there I could use for mine. I don't want to spend $200 for them at the dealer and not sure I could get the interior parts I wanted at the local junkyard.

Thanks guys.

The old one went to the auction house three weeks ago. I assume that it has been purchased by a dismantler for parts sales.

Sweet .....

The dealer we picked the 'Burby up at had about 20 new C6s, a dozen C6 ZO6s and 3 ZL1s! and a bunch of used C5s. They're the biggest dealer in KY (they said). Talk about drooling .........
