I'm aboard my boat and have been since Friday afternoon. It's in the low 40's and raining with tropical storm force winds. Although we're in a sheltered harbour, it's white caps and we're bouncing real good. With that being said, we just took a nasty gust and bounced us HARD into a fender. Time for me to set up another safety/spring line. I better git,,,,,

You are nuts, I'm at home in Pickering watching the wind blow the trees hard as I sip my warm mocha, it can't be warm up on Simcoe. Face it, boating season is over

As long as you have plenty of beer (and heat), go for it.

Lots of cold beer and a hot pot roast last night. There are 30 or so boats still floating here and we were the only ones aboard last night. Other than the wind it was nice and quiet,,,I slept 11 hours :)

John,
I think you're nutz! Would be fun to extend the season, but eventually you will need to winterize your boat. Kinda hard to drain the engines when the water inside is frozen. I went but Cap'n Morgan's marina Saturday. He's out and in heated storage, but several boats in his marina sustained serious damage to their tops in the weekend's wind storm. That same wind is headed to a marina near you John! Good luck, Dan

I might go do a sunset cruise tonight, but the weather is supposed to get foul tonight and rough tomorrow from some tropical system. Luckily today during my lunch hour I installed my new automatic bilge pump :)

Unbelievable photos. I will pray for a return to normal conditions down there. I guess we got it good, even if our water does freeze. Dan

Haven't been able to do anything on the boat lately with all these thunderstorms! We missed a tornado in my area at around 7 o'clock and we are on a tornado watch until 6 in the morning it doesn't seem like this weather will ever let up. Weather has been nuts down in Miami the last couple of days or more like the last week. Pulled my hoses and throttle body and impellor, I should have everything ready to install for this weekend but I haven't even checked on what the weather will be like. Hoping for some good weather to get out and cruise on the ICW.

Ric - Wish i was in need of a bilge pump and had the concern about it working due to rain.

The weather here now is awesome - really nice out and perfect for boating....just nowhere close to float other than the Gulf, but my tub isn't really setup for Gulf motoring....plus I'm not familiar with all the channels and oyster reefs so will have to pass on that option.

I just pulled the boat out of storage and knocked the cobwebs off - about to winterize and put her back up. Guess i will sip on a beer while i have her running on the muffs and splash some water on my face and pretend!
