My boat stays in a slip from May to October. We put it on its' trailer and haul to a vacation spot every other year. At the end of the season I put it on its' trailer in a heated storage facility. Dan

The boat goes in about May 1st to May 15th. It stays at the slip untill fall, Oct 15th to the 30th it comes out. Then in the driveway for the winter. Here in Boston, we just got our first snow fall!! I little early, but it did happen!!

I have done the trailer & mooring "thing" but there nothing like having a slip.

Summer time....in a slip about 40 minutes away and we spend the weekends on it. She isn't a marina queen, usually cruise at least once a day, sometimes twice (depending on the tides).

Winter time....on a trailer, shrink wrapped and kept in the backyard to remind us that spring/summer will eventually be back.

Trailer all the time. Sadly, it has to sleep from November to April. Even more sadly, the sleep starts this weekend.

I keep my boat on the trailer year round in a storage facility about 5 miles from my house. The good thing is that I share the entire space with a friend of mine, so I can "visit" my boat anytime I want during the winter.

I tow the boat about 20-30 miles one way to either Holland, Grand Haven or Port Sheldon, with an occasional trip to Muskegon, Gun Lake or Green Lake.

Next year I am strongly considering in-out service in Grand Haven. The time wasted at the ramp each trip is getting really old.

With our mild winters in Georgia and a bilge heater, I keep our boat in year around. I love boating during the winter because, with the exception of the bass fishermen, you have the lake to yourself (as well as the boat because the kids don't want to come along).

Mine stays on a salt water mooring here in Long Island from May to late Oct, this year came out early because the harbor got dredged so some boats had to come out. Winter it stays on the trailer in the driveway. The weather in late Oct can get real nasty so we don't do any boating after that, witness the Nor'easter we just had, 40 mph gusts, 5-8 foot waves on LI Sound, and snow north of NYC. We just got a lot of rain...
