Maybe a few (the two or three that actually post) did not understand my reason for this post. Let me explain.

1.) Prices appear to be MSRP. Would not get me in looking at these boats at advertised price.

2.) SB looks like they may have bought some other dealers' inventory. Alot of boats even for the mutiple locations

3.) I am not affiliated with SB whatsoever, just a recipient of there automated E-mails.

4.) Hope to generate some thoughts/opinions from members on the effectivness of their add.

Out.....

Hey Cap'n.

I've stopped paying attention to any of the SB emails I get. (I bought my boat brokered thru them).

The winter storage cost specials for Coopersville were really special, if you like to pay alot more than I used to pay when they owned the location in Grand Haven.

I haven't even paid attention to new boat prices, I know I cant even afford an H180LE (Well at least at those MSRP prices!)

I think those prices are GREAT! If those prices are a steal of a deal then clearly the economy has made a full and robust recovery! A V285 for 134K....Omg I'll take two!

The SB Coopersville location is all but closed. They have moved the showroom to Grand Isle Marina, and are just using the Hootersville location for storage now. Once it's sold, they will have everything in Grand Haven.

I will say they did know how to throw a good party. their raft up on Spring Lake was legendary. If they could price their boats with as much enthusiasim as they throw a party, they would probably sell even more. Here is a little clip from the last party they had in 2009.

I'm suprised to see two large Four Winns dealers in one town with Grand Haven already having Hall's Sport center. You would think that could make for some competitive pricing.

SB does not sell Four Winns in Grand Haven. Just Sea Ray, Bayliner, Meridian,Carver and Crestliner. The only SB Four Winns location in Michigan is in Fenton.

Grand Isle is a much better location for them than Hootersville. They are on the water in GH, and were in a corn field before.

I sold my last boat for cash on,,,get this,,Dec 31/10. At the Toronto boat show last Feb, I was looking at SB's used inventory for my move up. Talked with 2 SB reps. Told them my budget, type of boat we wanted, what brands we did and didn't want and all that stuff. Told them I did not need financing, so they'd know I wasn't wasting their time. They assured me they'd get me a boat I would like, arrange for export to Canada and with the duty, shipping etc, I'd still save a pile with the then exchange rate and cheaper US pricing. All I got from them was their stupid spam newsletter.

A bunch of jerks IMO.

Party cove on my lake is like that every weekend, with the exception of the live band.

I bought my h260 from SB in Hootersville. Nothing but good to say about them. I WANTED to buy from Halls in Muskgeon (Jim Rigby), but the salesman at SB knew I was looking for a bigger bowrider and just happened to get my boat in on a one weekend deal from the seller who needed out of it. He called me and said I had to come look at this boat. I test drove it on Spring Lake in the snow mid November.

Well, from the looks of things I will not be "moving up" any time soon! If I wanted to go into the cruiser arena, I would have to be willing to live in it 365 days a year at those costs. I really had hopes of having something bigger in 3 or 4 years, but there is no way!
