Oh wow. The admin should put that link as a sticky for all salt water owners to be aware of such a product.

I like it, I'd certainly consider adding this to any slipped in salt water boat. Lets you continue using a sterndrive avoiding the ultra high cost of modern outboards.
New engine + closed cooling + this system is in the future.

VP don't want anyone outside the US opening that link to their parts store ; it'd " let the cat out of the bag" as to the price mark up they get away with in the rest of the world ! List price for this in Europe is Euro 222 ( about USD 300) excluding VAT purchase tax, whic is typically around 20%, more in some countries. As a matter of interest, what is it in the US ?

Sales tax in the San Diego area is between 7.75% and 8.75%.

Sometimes you pay tax on online purchases and sometimes you don't....

I have it, and being a fresh water boater, don't even need it. $200... it's about $15 worth of parts... I'm surprised everyone didn't know about it.

Mike,

Maybe you should sell your's to a salt water boater and buy some magnesium anodes with the profit.; VP say it's not suitable for use in fresh water. Or, at least you should remove the fuse !

I've thought about doing that Graham, but so far it seems to do no harm. My drive is in new condition and anodes seem to last about the right amount of time. You know what they say about fixing things that aren't broke.
