We have tentatively made plans for our annual excursion across Lake Michigan. We were planning on going south this year, but with looming gas prices, we've adjusted just how far south! The tentative float plan is below.
July 19th Green Bay to Sturgeon Bay
July 20th Sturgeon Bay to Pentwater
July 22nd Pentwater to Frankfort
July 24th Frankfort to Sturgeon Bay/Menominee
July 25th Sturgeon Bay/Menominee to Green Bay

Anyone have any insights to Pentwater? Restaurants? Stuff to do??
We are looking at Snug Harbor Marina.

Michael,
We visited Pentwater by car last fall and loved it. Its a small little town but they have a couple of cool bar/restaurants and a great marine supply store. We ate at the Brown Bear and had an excellent Brown Bear burger and fries...don't be embarrassed to order the wimpy size because these burgers are HUGE. They also have a place called The Antler bar which I've heard also has great food. The municiple marina is right downtown.

Ben

Thanks Ben! Appreciate the information. Looks like Municpal and Snug Harbor are very close to one an other.

According to active captain interactive cruising guide book Snug Harbor gets the highest reviews with a 5/5 Star rating and Pentwater municiple get 4/5stars. Both sound like good places but Snug Harbor does sound a little nicer.
