A bit of thread revival here...

I have just entered into the world of european sports cars, with this little gal....

1978 Porsche 924. She is definately not the quickest car in the world, but is a great classic car and fun toy. Cheap to repair and maintian too (relatively speaking) as the car is made up fom mostly Audi and VW parts.

The car used to belong to my FIL about 13 years ago, but he sold it to a friend. His frend has owned it ever since. The car is in fantastic shape, as it has never seen a winter, and barely ever seen rain. The only problem of a gearbox that is stuck in first gear. He is frustrated with it and tired of it, and is now playing with a brand new Camaro RS convertible, so he sold it to me for a price that I couldn't say no to. I don't think there will me much to fixing it, maybe a linkage bent or worn. So, hopefully she will be on the road soon! I'll be picking her up on Friday. :mrgreen:

Looks like fun. Those 924s were sleepers. Quicker than most thought.

My other baby is a 2003 Audi TT 225hp quattro (all wheel drive). Super fun car to drive. It's not brutally fast, but fast enough to be great fun. I love this car and can't even imagine getting rid of it for something else.

A lot of names from the past and a lot that I don't recognize. Either boating is a short-lived hobby or most couldn't afford the two or three they had.
