It seems that people don't like Monterey that much?? Why is that? I can't find a 205 so it looks like I'll be moving into a 2004 228 SIC. Would that be a mistake quality wise?

I think I would rely on Cap'n Morgan for your concerns given he is a Monterey owner and a well-respected member of this forum. They can't be all that bad if he bought two.

We have been very happy with both our Monterey's. ric, since you are so close, you should drive to Williston, and take a factory tour of the Monterey plant. Then you can see for yourself how they are made.

No difference, except they are a few years older. There are pros and cons for each manufacturer. You have to put it all in perspective: $$, wants vs needs, vs what will make you happy.
Seeing the boat in person, crawling all over and in it, you should be able then to determine if it is right for you.

See, I know nothing about Monterey. I know Four Winns so I know what are good/bad on them. What are the pros/cons of Monterey?
