Today, I feel quite smug.

My car crapped out the other day. It was the fuel pump and its getting old with 362,000 kilometers on it. Time to call it quits. We went to the local Chrysler dealer and picked up a Journey for the wifey. I inherit her Caravan.

Here's why I feel smug. Back when the greenback was at par, I bought some. Got a new car for free!

Air bags and leveling kit for the 2013 Ram 1500 4x4 will be delivered tomorrow.....all parts, install and alignment for 800 dollars. No more squatting when towing for me...I've been wanting to do this since I got the truck....scheduled for Monday install.

Well, after 7 hours of work in two days redoing everything that the previous owner totally screwed up, the ski is ready for testing. TTO Tach, Pump shoe in spec, new R&D gp800r intake in spec, ride plate set at a starting value per Duke, leo's pump wedge installed, stepped the sponsons, n00b squirter filled in and smoothed out in nozzle, front bucket removed for more air (will drill holes at a later date), and ride plate bolt thing in hull replaced. Only thing missing is that I'm not going to get my .030 sheet spacers in the mail this week for the trim tabs so that's going to affect mph a little.

Testing tomorrow evening after work! My best was just a hair under 66 mph before.. any guess what it's going to run now?

Dang, wax a boat and people go crazy. I've had 3 calls this week for two showings. One tonight one tomorrow. I kinda hope it doesn't sell what the heck will I do the rest of the year? I won't be in the position to buy my 248 Vista until early 2016.

I avoid putting women on the back of the ski when all possible, totally ruins it's handling.

Due to the weather boat showings are now moved to Sunday. I don't even think I'll get to test the ski today.

I've been watching the ice melt this week. There's an open hole maybe 10 feet wide. I had the pleasure just now of seeing an otter plop itself on the ice and then goof off. As we watched, a pair of great blue herons flew over low and slow looking for a place to set down for the night.

It wont be long now gents.
