Interesting. Ill be curious to see how you setup your blower to run for 4 minutes before it starts. Do I dare ask why you need remote start for a boat especially in Florida?

You don't. The stingray engine bay isn't sealed. It's wide open to atmosphere with two giant 1ftx1ft holes behind the rear seats.

Explosive fumes generally are heavier than air.
For this reason, your blower's pickup is usually close to the lowest part of the bildge.

I guess that's one way to get rid of that Stingray

Hmmm... I didn't realize Stingray I/O's don't have blowers...

What is the point of a remote starter in a boat anyway? And why would you continue to modify a boat you hate and are selling?

I figured you'd have your 25 grand for it by now...

I probably have $400 in it total. Just because I hate it doesn't mean I'm not using it. I'm on it 2-3 days a week.

If your on it that often why not just turn the key....you do have a blower...we all have vents that only evacuate bilge gas fumes when in motion...so tell us for laughs what a remote start on a boat would be good for?? Especially a tiny boat with no heater or AC system...remote is trash when wet and doesn't work very far from boat...

Florida has a law against unattended vehicle while running....do y'all have law against this on a boat?

Why are you trying to put tits on a bull? Why can't you folks in Florida learn to count?

I guess I didn't explain it good enough. I can set the blower to a button on the remote. So press button for blower, wait a few minutes, press start button.

Why do it? Why not? Could have used it this morning sleeping in the cabin when it was 48 out and having to get outside to warm it up. Not like 30 minutes and $50 dollars is a huge waste of money for a novelty item.

Ric,

When a blower is switched on when you're on the boat, you can hear it running and know it's doing what it should be doing.

By merely switching on the power to the blower remotely, with no means of subsequently knowing it is actually running, you will not know it has been running before you start the engine.. You may get a nasty surprise

So have it turn the bow light on with the blower?

Rick I think what Graham is saying is just because you turned the power on doesnt mean that the blower fan is turning. I have seen blowers stop turning and seize. there is no substitute for actually hearing it when turned on

Hey dude...its your money, time and boat....so far its still the USA...at least til we get some more petitioners from Texas;)

My next mod is going to be speaker opgrade (wetsounds) and another board rack......I also want to modify the engine surround for access purposes....I can't reach around the partition very well and maintenance is tough to manage.
