Trees are starting to bend over...the bay and ocean have already met in several towns on several barrier islands. All Seasons Marina was underwater...

PS, the storm hasn't reached us yet!

Yup, looks like storm surge is going to rape NYC/NJ. Might want to get back in the boat.

Actually joked about putting the batteries and plug back. We're 113 feet above sea level...Just hope a tree doesn't fall on her.

I'm not sure about NJ but here in FL most of the flooding happens inland when a storm hits due to rainfall.

Lake Ontario Open Waters From The Niagara River To Hamlin Beach-
This Afternoon
North winds 20 to 25 knots increasing to gales to 35 knots. Rain with drizzle likely. Waves 4 to 6 feet building to 7 to 10 feet.
Tonight
North gales to 45 knots increasing to storm force winds to 50 knots. Rain. Waves 16 to 21 feet
.

 21 footers on Lake Ontario is nuts!

We're getting it pretty good here 30 miles east of Toronto. Lots of rain and gusts close to 50 MPH and it's only the beginning. The wifey has just been starring through the kitchen window for the last couple of hours.

I'm getting hungry, so I better let her back in soon

Many trees down, wind still howling, power off since 3pm, lucky we have a generator. NYC subways are flooded, 5-15 feet of water in the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel. Worst storm for us since Gloria in 1985....

Well, since she is already out, have her run down and pick up a two-four

Stay dry Lou...we are getting it now. Lake Ontario looks like the Bering Sea.

Unbelievable 3 million people without power! Most of the deaths of the storm are as a result of falling trees. Just like when I went through Andrew in South Florida people just love to go outside and see natures fury. Keep safe everyone and stay inside until this storm passes you.

Crazy storm! Even here up North, power has been out in a few outlying areas, and in town we have lost power periodicly (hour at a time). This storm was 760 km from us last night (as the crow flies) and we were also felling its force.

Really thinking of all of those who are horribly affected by this storm. The pictures of it's desctruction are coming into the light this morning.... what a mess. Hope everyone stays safe.

Some parts of the Boston area lost power, some didn't. We did for about 10hr or more. I have a 5500w genny that I would start for 20min, every hour to keep the freezer & fridge going.

This morning a few roads were shut down. I don't know why, I am guessing due to trees across the road.

Nowhere near 21 feet this morning.

Wind is under 40 mph too.
