I didn't know it was an 8K cap...........in good workable shape that trailer is work $3500+ in my area........

personally, I would get it in shape and ask $4500 OBO and see where it goes..........since we are still pre-boating season now is the perfect time to fix it and put it up for sale........

I wouldnt buy an 8000gvw trailer with no working brakes and missing parts for $1500.
maybe a grand if in decent shape and recent age
I have seen brand new 2013 8000gvw trailers going for the $3500 mark around here
