For as little as I tow, it's just more economical for me to rent a pickup right now. My yearly plans are only 4 tows to other water. Memorial day, Aquapalooza, Wipeout, and a Christmas boat parade. If I had a truck I might go monthly to the St. John's River, but renting a truck for the day is only $50. Owning a truck, even a beater like an old 2000 F150 is $100 a month insurance, plus maintenance. Still cheaper to rent. Plus I have at least 2 friends with trucks that can tow it that are usually on my boat every weekend anyways.

My lexus gets horrid fuel consumption with it's motor swap, big injectors, turbo, etc, and requires at least $100 a month in upkeep from various things breaking cause it wasn't designed to be driven 1000mi a month. With the payments on the BMW and it's actually decent MPG it's only costing me around $50 more a month than driving my Lexus. $50 a month to drive a 2010 BMW with a warranty for at least 3 more years? Sold.

I was expecting new VHF antenna. (or something on a boat).

Nice deal though, Ric.

I guess it's what I get for rubbing in our 70's and 80 degree weather all winter long here in Florida.

Oh, it's 75 right now. Mid 80's all weekend.

Then why in the hell are you posting here? You should already be in the infield at Sebring for the start tomorrow morning at 10:15 a.m. with that kind of weather.

Damn ric, aren't you asking for enough tech-abuse by owning a boat? I owned a 99' 325I and that damn thing cost me $1,500 every time I took it to the shop. Owning a boat and a BMW takes balls (and a big ass wallet).
