No slip I keep it on a mooring behind my house. I use a dinghy to paddle out from the beach, association dues is $260 a year. Pretty good deal here in high priced Long Island!

Here in Rock Hall on the Chesapeake, we pay $4700 a season from April 1 until Nov 1 at Osprey Point Marina. That includes everything with the exception of cable TV which we don't have at the dock. Our slip is a 45ft slip with floating docks and they keep the place very clean. We have pump out at the dock. Theres a restaurant with a bed and breakfast also. They have a nice pool area with picnic facilities and a club house and a trolly comes into the lot every half hour that will take you to various spots throughout the town and it visits restaurants as well.

On the Muskegon River behind Hardy Dam I'm paying $875 for a 30X10 slip. March to October includes full use of the resort facilities (pool, club house, etc.). Dock has gas and pumpout, but no electric or water.

I just signed a lease today for a slip for 2008. $4300 + elec. Marina has 2 pump outs for 800 slips. The slip is 30' x 12' covered and gated. It includes a 4' patio that they build into the slip. The marina does have a pool, rest., Bar (very important). I definately took it in the shorts on that one

I pay $8800 for a 65'x12' on the Chicago River. That includes electric, water and parking (which in downtown Chicago is about $300/month). That's for a 12 month contract and the marina is bubbled so I keep the boat there year round. It's kind of pricey but it allows me to park 25' from the boat and leaves me in the protected waters of the river rather than on lake Michigan. I can be out to the lake in about 10 minutes (as long as the locks cooperate).

The other alternative would be in the Chicago Park District harbor system where there is a waiting list of several years for a slip (which is about $95/foot) or a mooring ball which is about $35/foot.

Ben
