Count me in, sounds like a blast. Is 40 gal of fuel enough for there and back?

I figured it'd be close, so I'll bring another 5 gal can just in case.

Hey, count me in too Ardy!

I have a buddy of mine who lives in Adelaide; heck he probably waterskis on the same river you are on.

It's -22 deg C here now, so I think I have a bit of a wait before I can get the boat in the water.

Walt, can I follow you accross the pond? Nah, never mind.... I'd never keep up to your SS.....

-22 huh, jeezzz. I so don't miss Michigan in that regard. I grew up in MI and WI. Loved the cold and the snow when I was a kid, but I have to say I love the TX winters. I think we got below 32 3 or 4 times this winter. It's been a mild one. A sprinkling of close to 80 degree days here and there have got me so excited for Spring/Summer.

A Rally would be great! Anyone interested in doing something at Dale Hollow Lake (KY/TN border)? I would love to help put soemthing together! It's a beautiful place and plenty of room for campers.

Just did a Camping trip to Lake Barkley last summer. Very nice area. I was shocked at how shallow that lake is though. We rented a pontoon while there and except for a shipping channel, the lake was running about 4 ft deep. There were some beautiful houses on the lake with very nice boat docks. I wonder if the lake was just abnormally low. Is Dale Hollow deeper?

Lake Barkley is nice for a quick fishing expedition, but I haven't been there in a very long time. We did experience some drought last summer, so that could have been a factor. There really are no words to really express how I feel about Dale Hollow. It's plenty deep and more than beautiful. Check out the Corps web-site: http://www.orn.usace.army.mil/op/DAL/rec/
It will give you details I couldn't begin to describe!
Hope you can make it! If enough people message back about a Rally I'll throw some dates out and see what happens.

Stay past the 60 mile marker and you MIGHT find smooth water.
