cool, I'll look for him. I use to use Roy now I think Dan is the guy there running the repairs. No 100% sure though. They have my boat right now doing a full service on it but I want to change the impeller and have a few other things done soon. I'll try to hit him up.

Ross;
I'm headed to Lake Mohave Sunday May 17th, returning on the 21st. We will probably pass each other on the road.

Ya, we will be getting off the lake on Sunday then head back to Havasu to drop off the boat (thats where it lives) then head back home to Camarillo on Monday.

Maybe next time,

Ross

Do any of you ever take your boat out in the ocean?? or cruise out to Catalina island?

I take my Funship 214 out in the ocean all the time out of Mission Bay or San Diego Bay. It's a great dive platform for the local kelp beds or shipwrecks down here.
We've also taken my buddy's Horizon 190 over to Catalina from Redondo Beach - fun ride!

Has anyone put in on Big Bear Lake? I was up there in the snow 2/15/09. The lake looked like it would be worth visiting during the summer months.

Big Bear lake is "OK" during the summer - good for kids if you are up there putting around. You can fish or pull a tube.

Make sure the water level is high enough. A couple of years back the water was so low that there was only one ramp open and it was mayhem to get on the water....

We're heading for Lake Mohave Thursday evening 6/11/09. Any other So.Cal. members headed in that direction this weekend?

Sounds like you get to Mohave a lot! Good for you - where do you put in/stay up there?

Erik

We store the boat just south of Bullhead City, AZ. This gives us access to Mead, Havasu and Mohave without the added time associated with trailering. Of the three lakes, Lake Mohave suits us best. The water is warm, clean, and the level is always high due to the demand for electricity generated at the Hoover Dam. We usually stay at the Edgewater Casino. We launch from Kathrans Landing. We try to make the 3.5 hour drive every third weekend during the boating season.
