Im being childish...yes but what do you call lying to someones face and deliberately deceiving someone all for a couple hundred bucks??

Eye for an eye...he cost me a couple hundred so I'll find a way to do the same to him. Im not going to sit back and just let someone take advantage of me. There's enough scumbags in this world...if I can put one in his place than im going to do it...if that makes me childish or lesser of a man than bring it on

And I know there is an inherent risk of buying off craigslist, but I just like thousands of other people actually sell "GOOD" things. Its idiotic to say I should have "expected" it to be trashed.

First off, are you saying theres something wrong with being childish? Quite frankly I am fully enjoying my refusal to be an adult.
. . . wish I could be there when he logs on to check his mail - hehehe. I think its the telephone angle that would have me out of my mind though - I lose it when the telemarketers call (usually because I am always hanging upside down and backwards in an engine bay or some such when they call. I come completely unhinged when it is the same idiots twice in one week - grrrrrrrrr :x
Wasn't a cell number you submitted was it? Oh, that would be enough to send anyone over the edge - hehehe . . .

Links?

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Not questioning your abilities in any way, but is there any chance you might have fried it by accident and just don't realize it? Just offering an alternate explanation, not defending this douche.

I'd find out where he works (if he is employed) and show up at his place of employment, asking to speak to the Director of Human Resources about prospective employment. When you get your chance to speak with HR, tell them you are interested in a position with the company and then mention that you know the guy. After offering up that you know the guy, take the opportunity to describe what happened to illustrate what a dishonest scumbag he is for what he did. Then ask them if they wouldn't mind calling him into the office to discuss it.

One of two things will happen:
1. They do it, and you get to call him out onto the carpet in front of someone with no stake in the dispute.
2. They refuse and ask you to leave (more likely).

Regardless of the outcome, his employer is now on notice that he is a dishonest scumbag and it will be considered by HR when he either applies for a better job within the company or is up for a promotion.

Funny how many tricks you learn practicing employment law for ways to serve a nice COLD dish of revenge. *NOTE* only do this if you think that your personal safety would not be an issue, and you are confident that you won't do anything to get yourself arrested.

I HAVE A SOLUTION ! . . sell me the amp on EBay and I can sue you on Peoples Court with Judge Millian(?). I'd be worth the few hundred to me to go get judged by her . . . You keep the cash from the sale and I get the judgment from the show. I guess there is always a way for everyone to be happy

Not to belabor a point, You know there is a risk buying off CL yet you did it anyway? I looked up the phone site, you are throwing good money after bad by paying to harrass this person? PT Barnum said it best...!

Let it go..........chalk it up to experience go and buy a new amp from the store and enjoy it. Let the few hundred bucks and the wounded ego go and just enjoy yourself. All you are doing is perpetuating the feelings of being screwed by holding onto this. If you only lost a few hundred consider yourself lucky, you got off cheap to learn such a valuable lesson. Remember how many people invested in scams and lost life savings. Remember all the people who worked for Enron and were screwed. The list goes on, and you only lost a few hundred. One day you may thank the clown who ripped you off because you are now a wiser, better consumer.

You can always find a positive in a negative situation.

Enjoy the holiday weekend.

Then again one of the most important aspects of life is having a person or group that you can complain to about a POS like this. So leave him alone, I'm sure he has parents somewhere to tell him to be a big boy, he came here to get suggestions of how to throw the amp through his window.

The simple fact is there are many legal ways to make the guys life a living hell, and if you feel that strongly about it....then do it!!

For gods sake if any of us had common sense about wasting money we sure the hell wouldn't own boats.

Sorry I thought people posted on here to express themselves. Buzz kill? You enjoy revenge and seeking out ways to harm others? Wow, let's get together and be friends............NOT!

BTW I boat to have fun and enjoy myself. The money spent on my passion is not a waste of funds it is my past time/hobby and not an investment other than an investment in my sanity!

Betterluck, you took that the wrong way. I was joking with you...I thought the smiley face guy and exclamation points at the end of my post would show that.

So I apologize...can we be friends now?

I did pony up and buy something new so I could have proper recourse. I bought a 300k boat from a reputable manufacturer so I could have recourse. I don't recall belly aching about anything but if you say so......

Much of the info I have posted on the 348/358 topic has been well received as good info for us new owners who are having issues and getting to know the product. If that is "Belly aching" oops, sorry, didn't mean to do that.

Why do you need to drag unrelated crap into a topic?
