Seems so strange that it's not bottom painted.. Did it possibly break loose?

That's a V458... only available with IPS.

Ah, thanks. Seems I'm not up on how the latest models can be equipped. I can only imagine the problems with getting that out of that predicament. It would seem odd that the pods would've buried themselves into the sand, but with the weight of the boat up there, who knows. Might've been 'helped' by an outrushing tide, sorta like how your own feet sink in the outgoing surf.

Looking at the pic, it seems that he may have gone over a shallow sandbar and knocked the ips drives off, the good thing is the tide is low enough that he can walk back and look for em! Can you imagine the owner of a boat like that doing that, it's a funny image in a way.

Some years back we went with some friends to a place called the Sand Hole up on the North Shore of LI. This is a big cove of sorts where all kinds of boats go to hang out in the summer. The channel leanding in is very narrow and not easy to navigate at low tide. We cruised in at low tide and we saw a boat of at least 50' if not more beached there....the nice lady on the rear deck was asking me when the next high tide was....about 6 hrs I replied...they put some hot dogs on the grill and that was that..! Don't know if they bent any struts or shafts laying there though....
