Here is an update...

The Volvo rep told my dealer they are having some problems with a painted ball inside the check valve sealing properly (this is obvious, haha). He said I have two options:

1. Bring it in, they will replace the pump again, and hope for the best
2. Have a 200lb guy stand on the outdrive while I move it up and down for 2 cycles. Apparently this helps them seal and should fix the problem. If not...bring it back for a pump replacement and hope for the best.

So, we will see. I am going to go the 200lb dude on the outdrive before I go.

I'd volunteer to be the 200 lb guy but unfortunately i'm too heavy! I can't see this helping? A painted ball is a painted ball... I think you'll find a new seal in the pump assembly is required. Or another new pump and hope for the best. I hope you will report back and I can eat my words for your sake.
