Yeah, I like the new marine line of coolers with the stainless hinges and clasps. West Marine carries them, and they are no-doubt available at other stores.

You might try this. I use several sheets in a cooler, some below and some above the items I want to keep cool. On a real humid day this stuff might sweat just a bit, but it does not melt and it will keep things cold especially if it is in an adequate cooler.

I'm with several other, we just use ziplock bags for food items and put ontop of the ice. The beer goes in the bottom under all the ice for sure. 8) I bought one of the igloo ice cubes, the smaller square one without wheels, and It fits great in the middle of the back bench seat on the floor without getting in the way, plus a cold one is within reach at all times. :mrgreen: If were going out for several days in a row, like we did on Memorial weekend I use the cube cooler for drinks and the under the bench seat cooler for food, etc. But we still just use ice and ziplocks for the food.

Yeah, I learned the hard way not to just throw a turkey avocado wrap from Target in its original plastic tin in regular. That made for a soggy supper one night. :oops:
